Learn how to meet the step-code airtightness standards with this hands-on workshop held in in numerous locations across British Columbia. Thanks to a grant from Fortis BC, we are able to provide training in Vancouver and across the region at a reduced rate of $250.00 through April 2019, a savings of $100 off the usual price.
WHAT YOU’LL LEARN
The workshop covers air-tightness from top to bottom in a day. Starting with a short discussion on what an air barrier is, and how to define it on your project, the workshop quickly becomes a hands-on workshop that details how an air barrier is made, how it fits at a ceiling junction, how it connects to the foundation or slab, how it works around balconies, decks, and overhangs, and how it connects to plumbing, sprinklers and vents.
MORE ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
This one day class was developed in 2016 to help builders meet the City Of Vancouver requirements of 3.5 ACH50 by the air-tightness experts at RDH Building Sciences, and Small Planet Supply. Attendees will work with a wide range of air-sealing materials and get a deep understanding of available materials, and how they perform.
Space is limited.
